The Price Differences Between the iPhone 17 and iPhone Air in Several Countries Where Orders Are Now Available

The iPhone 17 and iPhone Air can already be pre-ordered in 63 countries. The remaining 22 countries will follow on September 26.

Apple's latest phones, the iPhone 17 and iPhone Air, which were released on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, are now available for pre-order in 63 countries worldwide. They will be available in 22 other countries by the end of the month.

Countries in the first group include the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, China, Colombia, France, Germany, India, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, and Vietnam.

The iPhone 17 is priced in the United States at $799 and increases by $100 for each of the following models, respectively: iPhone Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max.

Prices in India start at 82,900 rupees ($925.08) for the standard model and go up to 149,900 rupees ($1,669.96) for the Pro Max. In China, prices range from 5,999 yuan ($828.97) to 9,999 yuan ($1,381.62).

The iPhone 17, iPhone Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max are scheduled to begin shipping on September 19th. Alongside these phones, the Apple Watch Series 11, Watch SE 3, Watch Ultra 3, and AirPods Pro are also available.

IPhone 17 Specifications 

Apple says it has made major changes to all models in the iPhone series launched this year. The standard model offers the following:

• 120Hz ProMotion display for smoother scrolling
• Always-on display mode for fast updates
• ProRes support for enhanced video quality
• Storage capacity starts at 256GB, double the previous model.

Meanwhile, the iPhone 17 Air replaces the Plus model from several previous models. Priced above the iPhone 17, this new model offers the same chip as the Pro model, a thinner and wider design, and a ProMotion display.

The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max also have storage capacities starting at 256 GB, but there are variants with capacities up to 1 TB. RAM is also available in 12 GB, in addition to 8 GB. The chip has a GPU with up to 6 cores.

The iPhone 17 Pro Max specifically has a 6.9-inch display—0.6 inches larger than the iPhone 17 and 17 Pro, or 0.4 inches larger than the iPhone 17 Air.
